About Asked 3D

What this site is

Asked 3D answers specific 3D printing questions, one per page. Each answer opens with the direct answer, then gives the number, table or step that generic answers leave out, and names the source for every figure. Pages are short on purpose. A question that needs a long guide gets a guide; a question that needs a number gets a number.

What it covers

Materials, hardware, troubleshooting and the business side of printing, from selling parts to what a warranty allows. If a question needs a decision only you can make, such as which printer to buy, the page says so and stops.

How it is funded

Asked 3D is privately funded. It sells nothing, carries no advertising, no sponsored answers, no affiliate links and no paid placements. Where a page names products, it lists every relevant option in a table sorted by a factual column, with no verdict column and no ranking.

Who edits it

Pages are written and checked by the site's editors. Every number on a page is traced to a manufacturer data sheet, a standards document or a published measurement, listed under Sources at the bottom of the page with the date it was checked.

What it will not do

It does not publish rankings or "best of" verdicts. It does not review products. It does not accept payment for placement or wording. When it is wrong, it says so: see the corrections page.
